Happy Birthday Sweet Mother

To my loving Mother (Kemi Oluwole),

You are the first person that I ever loved and I will love you until my last breath. You are an inspiration, a star that shines so bright others wonder 'Why don't I shine that bright?' I ask myself countless times, who would I be without her? Who would I be without her love?

I am glad that God chose you, I am ecstatic that He gave me to you. You have shown me what it means to be selfless, what it means to put someone else before you. You are a complete woman. You are the definition of a Wonder Woman. Every woman should look at you and aspire to be as great as you. On this special day, I give God all the glory that He gave you life so that the world would be a brighter place. You are a rare gem. Cancer that you are, you are ferocious, kind, loving, selfless, intelligent, beautiful and all the characteristics of a great Human being.

You are more than just my Mother, you are my friend. A friend that would never betray me or stab me in the back. A friend that will not gossip about me behind my back, a friend that would love me truly and speak the truth no matter what. A friend that loves me with all my flaws and doesn't judge me. People can't be perfect but you are my perfect person.

On this day, the 6th day of the seventh month, you came to us. A star to illuminate the world. I love you with all of my heart and I promise to be a great daughter, friend and confidant. You deserve the world mummy.

Oluwakemi Folusho Oluwole, Aya Oludotun. You are special and there can be only one of you in the world till the end of all life.

Happy Birthday Mimums, I pray that all the good you show the world be rewarded to you in ten folds.

And before I forget... 52 never looked better. Bless your heart my love.

This was your birthday last year, I can't believe it has been a year already. I miss you mama. I can't wait to be in the same continent as you. Lol
Love you mummy....

LIFE AS WE ALL KNOW IT!!!

There comes a time in your life that all you can think about is the future... For the past few months i have been asking my self a few questions...
1. what does the future hold?
2. what do i want to do with myself ?
3. do i want to be a mediocre or do i want to be a legend?
I find myself asking over and over and the more I drift in my thoughts the more I get confused about somethings in my life and some things i am not doing. In life it is very easy to say ' i'll take it as it comes' but yet we all want to live extraordinary lives.
4. What am I doing to ensure that all i dream about comes to pass
Do not get me wrong, God is the biggest factor in our lives but still we can't expect everything to be handed to us on a platter of gold. we have to work and pray that all our hard work pays off. Let me drift off topic a little. Today as my classmates and I waited for our Urology class to begin we engaged in a conversation that we still couldn't conclude on and i am going to let you guys in on this so you can share on personal opinion on the topics.
1. inter tribal marriages
2. how long should you know a person before you get married to them
3. should your parents be able to decide who you spend the rest of your life with.
* subject matter 1 and 3 are kind of interrelated .
I personally feel that, first of, there is nothing wrong in mixing it up. if everybody got married to people only from their cities or states or even countries. diversity among people would not be what it is right now. Lets take Nigeria for instance, a lot of parents in Nigeria feel that their children should only marry people from their tribe, some of them insist and even threaten to cut their children off. how backward right? I agree everyone has their preference but would it not be better if it was the child's preference and not the parent's? Yes! we all need our parents to fall in love with our spouses or partners just like we did but what happens if they don't? Do you quit your relationship and move on to the next one? some people would, and i don't judge them for that decision because at the end of the day it is their life right?
Secondly, i feel one year is to short a period for you to know someone enough to choose to spend your life with them... i mean it takes longer than a year for you to fully know someone. Now, I am not saying you have to date for 10 years before getting hitched but what's the rush. if you are going to spend the rest of your life with someone why not invest time in getting to know them first. i think its logical. My classmates had a different opinion, they felt that 3 months to a year was enough time because if it is not meant to be God will show it to you and all you need is to be spiritually inclined. I don't completely disagree as i said earlier. God is a huge factor in our lives but will God tell you oh!this person you have picked after 10 years of marriage is going to cheat on you. NO!!!! BUT do you know if you spend enough time getting to know someone you can speculate what they are capable of doing.
Not to drag this too long, i know you are probably tired of reading. LOL!!! please comment and let me know what your opinion is.

Back to my initial reason for writing this. i think it is very important that we not only know what we want in life but also hustle hard to get it. Nobody is going to hand you a plate of success. you have to prepare and serve yourself.

PLEASE COMMENT  BELOW!!! IT WOULD MEAN THE WORLD TO ME TO GET FEED YOUR FEEDBACK.

UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE ...

As of today 22nd February 2014 there is news that in Ukraine, President Yanukovych has called a truce with the leaders of 'the OPPOSITION'.  I cannot say i am not overjoyed with this development but yet my heart is full of sadness because of the multiple causalities that could have been avoided but because of greed and lust for power tragically occurred. The citizens of this nation have showed deep passion and love for their country's growth, development and well-being as a whole. Lets face the fact, it is very hard for anyone to leave the comfort of their home to a so called 'war front' with knowledge that at any time it could be the end of their lives. With this knowledge they still gave themselves up to fight for their country. Lets take it back home to Nigeria, with all of the problems facing our dear country, never have i seen such commitment with the citizens to eradicate the problems we face. This is a perfect example of a Nation working together to achieve a common goal/interest and even with all of the odds against them, they only get stronger. I as a person never thought it possible that Ukrainians whether civilians or the law enforcement will kill or maim themselves. Just as i was writing this, I heard people chanting right outside my gate. I went down to see and they were in hundreds just walking down the street full of life, Mothers, Fathers, Children, Youths. These are people who are deeply passionate about their country and its well being. Only after they had left i asked myself why are they still protesting if they called a truce? I got answers, the statement that was signed by Yanukovych and the leaders of the opposition was written by him and not them... by 'him' i'm referring to the man that clearly derives joy from watching his people suffer... YES!!!. I was saying he had written the statement/agreement and when they refused to sign the polish minister of foreign affairs had told them that if they did not sign the army would get involved and they will all die... SHOCKING!!! I know... and yet they still stand strong. That my friends is the definition of UNITY amongst people #PRAY FOR UKRAINE #PRAY FOR NIGERIA #GOD SAVE US ALL!!!

FLASH FROM MY PAST

i dnt regret the decisions i made
i really wanted to be with u
i dnt rgret the price i paid
i did all in good faith
i dnt doubt u  loved me or did all just to have me
you went to town with me and gave me a reason to smile
i had my wrongs and im neva perfect
when the earth quaked, my dominos fell
i picked them all up to build again
one after the other, one behind another
even when everyone thought i was truly going insaane
yes. it was hard, i prayed, i cried but loved u still
i was willing to throw it all in and climb up hill
even times when u didnt give me a reason to smile
i didnt hesitate to complememnt ur hair
it dosnt have to be white to be right
but a brown set of teeth dont make a good smile
i still want u but this time i need a reason to

BACK TO BLACK

'Without you i go BACK to BLACK'... you probably wondering why i started off with a quote, this one in particular. I hope I can make you understand.
You see, in life we come across someone/something that helps us stay or get in the right path. When we do find them/it, a series of emotions crumble on us. We love that we have found them/it but we hate that there will be so much change. Lets face it, everyone is scared of change. It is the one thing that every human being is frightened by. It can change the whole course of a man's life, So sometimes we take such people/things for granted because of the uncertainty that they bring to our lives.
One thing that we are blinded to is the fact that these people/things are the necessary necessities we need to achieve so many things in our human lives. You can call them 'God sent'. When we do not cater for them/it in the right manner we end up loosing them/it. As unfair as it may seem, most of us do not get another chance to find such people/things
I recently encountered a loss that left me perplexed... the main reason why i decided to share this with you all. Yoruba people say 'A o mo olore wa' in English it means 'we do not know our Savior' you never truly know the role they/it play[s] in your life until you have either lost them/it or noticed some changes.
The main moral of this text is, learn not to take people or things in your life for granted. I hope you understand what i am trying to pass across. You might be wondering why the quote then. Let me shed a little light on that. Let me tell you a story of Joseph and Bella
Bella is a very promiscuous girl, she does what she feels when she wants to and does not care what anybody thinks about it. One day she met Joseph in a bus and they got talking. To cut the long story short, they got involved with each other as you suspected. They dated for 3 years and being the kind of person she is, she loved him sincerely but could care less what he felt about her lifestyle but in the course of those 3 years she had changed a lot. She did not notice it because Joseph was the complete opposite of her so he never rubbed it in her face. When their relationship had run its course, she got tired of being committed to him, so she decided to break up with him. The 1st 1 week without him was like hell and she started to notice how much she had improved as a person but because 'he' was no longer in her life she started to deteriorate and got even worse than she was initially. she went 'Back to Black' after 3 years of being Bright and shinny. Notice that difference in your life and look for its source when you do find, DON'T LET GO!

                                                                                                                     Thanks,
                                                                                                                     Khanyinsola

Enroute home

hey y'all... going home is soo tiring...it is suppose to be a 1 day journey but here i am spending almost 3days. i left kharkov ystdai 10.15pm and  got to dnipropertrovck a little after 2am.i was the first person in the airport before a bunch of ukrainians came in...there was this teenage girl that was giving me 1 smelling bitchy racist stare.i was totally uncomfortable...slept around 6am....at least i got a little rest....its 8.01am now and i'm going to sleep again i guess....So now I am just sleeping, waking up and watching videos...dis is so annoyingly frustrating. So many people have come and gone and I'm still the only black person...gosh!Now it is 1:40pm and i just checked in...Praise God a black girl just came, I'm so happy. I hope she is cool tho.Its 3:00pm and we are boarding.. I hope I get to use the internet in Istanbul....
So I dint get to use the internet*messed up*I'm home,so I'm going to feel you guys in on the rest of the journey...So we got to istanbul around 6pm and den we had to go through customs and all the unneccesary crap and yea she was cool(rukki edo)...after the check-in process we were suppose to get a food voucher and a place to stay but it wasnt as easy as i was told it would be.soi was directed to the wrong place and i had to roam around the whole airport which wasnt funny and the worst part was i did not change my money to dollars so i was stranded...dint eat dint drink sh**...on the other hand rukki went shopping for her parents.we had to wait till it was 12am to get a place to stay...very shity place but it was manageable...I woke up around 11am and got the hell outer the place we were put and yea they did not give us food.so we started looking for an information desk that could actually help cos all the ones we had been to were v.unusefull....so finnally by 3pm we were able to find the terminal for our flight....on getting there there were so many nigerians....by 4:30pm we were on board and ready to go....
we got to nigeria around 9pm and after we passed through customs, we had to wait for our bags and putting aside the fact that it was f***ing hot..the airline left my bag in istanbul so i got it the next day....
it was a very long journey and it was very stressful but thank God i got home safe....

WITHOUT GOD MAN IS NOTHING

It comes to a point in our lives when we realize that without God on our side so many things would have gone wrong with our lives.God plays a huge role in lives of people who love or spite him.If you cant get yourself to see how messed up your life would be without him then you just cant imagine it.When you do come to this realization you'll praise him with all that you have and still feel like you've done nothing.I have come to that point in my life where nothing is impossible. It's not time to let the cat out of the bag but God in his infinite mercies watches over his own and I am glad to be 1 and a very special 1 at that.
God is gracious and merciful and without Him I am NOTHING!!!
What about you?

Is it a crime to tell myself 'i am beautiful, crazy and sexy'?

some people tink if certain people are positively confident about how they look its pride.I say not all times except i'm using it to weigh another human being down or to mock some1 else, why cant i appreciate myself?
Its just a way of saying if there is no one to complement me and tell me nice things, to hell with it. I'll tell myself, that's why God gave us all mouths.i'll stand in front of a mirror ignore ma flaws whether physical or emotional and tell myself 'Kanyinsola u are amazingly beautiful, crazy in the best way and u re completely sexy' i'll even tease myself a lil bit and say the most hilarious thing....something like i'm sexier than julia roberts.lol.its all about confidence and love for yourself.low self esteem LSE is beneit us all...so I indulge y'all, love youself and say the best things to yourself.

PEACE!!!

Gils that feel all to fly

I know some girls that feel every other person, boy or girl should be at their beck and call...its funny how they forget that looks, money etc. don't define a person...rather it adds to the attributes of the person. The earlier they find out that life is more than beauty, money, and material things the better...
Quick advice, put aside vain things and work on yourself...

BLESS!

guys that are over possesive...

Some guys are over possessive, in that they expect their girlfriends to always do what they want.I tink they need to send the message to their heads that its a relationship not a communion between man and wife,so,you dont have the authority to order my every move. Most of the times these guys don't appreciate been told they are wrong or not to do a particular thing but yet they expect you to take all the crap the throw at you.The Bible says be submissive but it dint say to your boyfriend...boys get it in your head....i also am allowed the freedom to do some things and girls do not take this for granted...
